FTZ Integrates Artificial Intelligence into the Daily Workflow of Workshops Through a New Partnership

FTZ is advancing the digitalization of the automotive industry through a new partnership with the software company Dirigento. This partnership means that repair shops in FTZ’s network will now have access to an AI-based solution that can automatically schedule appointments for car owners for service, tire changes, and maintenance-tailored precisely to each individual vehicle.

The solution will be integrated into the FTZ Plus platform and is designed to assist workshops with customer contact, scheduling, and business management.

“The automotive industry is undergoing rapid technological development, and workshops increasingly need digital tools to help run their businesses more efficiently. With Dirigento integrated into FTZ Plus, we’re giving workshops a tool that can both strengthen their relationship with customers and provide a better overview of capacity and performance,” says Andreas True, IT Director at FTZ.

AI can automate customer contact

Dirigento’s software analyzes, among other things, the vehicle’s data and service history and can then automatically contact the vehicle owner at the time when the vehicle typically needs service or a tire change.

At the same time, the workshop gains access to a dashboard where it can track trends in capacity utilization, revenue, and customer contact, among other metrics.

“Workshops today spend a lot of time on manual customer contact and planning. With our solution, much of this can be automated, so customers are contacted at the right time, and the workshop simultaneously gains a better overview of its business,” says Peter Hansen, CEO of Dirigento, which was founded by Christoph Schilling, Anders Jeppesen, and Peter Hansen.

Denmark Among the First in New AI Initiative

The collaboration is part of FTZ’s broader efforts to digitize auto repair shops. FTZ is part of the Nordic group MEKO, which previously announced that Denmark will be one of the first countries in the group where new AI initiatives for the auto industry are introduced.

As a result, Danish workshops will be among the first in the group to gain access to new AI-based tools that can assist with operations, planning, and customer communication.

With its integration into FTZ Plus, the solution is expected to contribute to both better utilization of workshop capacity and a more precise service experience for car owners.
